- Winter Pruning- Saturday, January 7th, 9:00am - 12:00pm. Learn how to properly prune your roses for fantastic blooms! Winter is the time to cut back roses, but most people do not prune roses properly. They have been given bad advice, and though the roses do grow year after year, they do not thrive. We will show you how "America's Best Rose Garden" prunes their roses, the proper way! The first 200 volunteers receive a free rose bush courtesy of Star Roses, and a coupon book from Chinook, and is entered to win Sharks Tickets and products from Dr. Earth!
