Master Volunteer Program

The Master Volunteer Program has been a success with over 150 people participating.  They have put in over thoudands of hours. 

As a Master Gardener, you play an integral role in the care of this garden.  After an initial one and a half hour or so of training, you are certified to come in the garden on your own time and work.  You are identified by a stylish green vest (seen in the picture) as an official volunteer which is yours to keep.  You log your hours as part of our Public/Private Partnership with the city and we recognize volunteers for reaching certain milestones. 

Many visitors to the garen approach the Master Volunteers and ask them various questions about rose care, and the park. It is a very enjoyable way to get out and enjoy the garden!
